TS Galaxy Sack Beganovic After Disastrous League Run in Betway Premiership
TS Galaxy FC have confirmed the departure of head coach Adnan Beganovic and technical adviser Nermin Basic following a string of poor results in the Betway Premiership.
The club released an official statement on Thursday announcing the decision, which comes after a prolonged slump that has seen The Rockets struggle for form during a crucial phase of the season.
Club president Tim Sukazi described the decision as unfortunate, while acknowledging the contribution made by both coaches during their time at the club.
“It is quite unfortunate that we had to come to a decision to part ways with Coaches Adnan and Nermin following the unfortunate string of results in the Betway Premiership. They both made a huge contribution to our club in a very short period. We thank both coaches for their professionalism, commitment, hard work and wish them well in their future endeavors,” Sukazi said.
Stepping in to lead the team on an interim basis is former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana forward Bernard Parker, who will now be tasked with stabilising the squad and improving results in the league.
The decision follows Sunday’s 1-0 home defeat to Richards Bay FC – a result that extended Galaxy’s winless run to 10 matches in the league, made up of nine losses and just one draw.
That poor sequence of results ultimately left the club with little choice but to make changes to the technical team as they look to turn their season around.

The Rockets are currently occupy the 12th spot on the log table with 24 points from after 25 matches.
Despite their league struggles, Galaxy have enjoyed success in cup competition. The side have reached the final of the Nedbank Cup, where they will face Durban City on 2 May 2026 at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium.
A victory in that final would see the club lift the trophy for a second time, having famously beaten Kaizer Chiefs in 2019 to become the first second-tier side to win the competition.
With the coaching change now confirmed, attention turns to how TS Galaxy respond on the pitch. The immediate priority will be ending their poor league run, while still maintaining momentum in cup competition.
The coming weeks could prove decisive in shaping the outcome of what has become a challenging – yet potentially rewarding – season for The Rockets.
