TS Galaxy Crowned Mpumalanga Premier’s Cup Champions After Dominant Weekend as 14 New Signings Signal Ambitious Season
TS Galaxy head into the 2026/27 Premier Soccer League season with momentum firmly on their side after lifting the 2026 Mpumalanga Premier’s Cup and unveiling 14 new signings in an eventful weekend that underlined the club’s ambitions.
The Rockets capped off an impressive pre-season campaign by defeating newly promoted Kruger United 3–1 in Sunday’s final at Kanyamazane Stadium to claim the provincial title.
Galaxy proved too strong for Kruger United in the final, with Nhlakanipho Ngwenya scoring twice before Seluleko Mahlambi added a third to seal a convincing victory.
The Rockets had booked their place in the final with a 2–0 semifinal win over The Bees, while Kruger United edged Motsepe Foundation Championship side Casric Stars 1–0 to reach the title decider.
The triumph provided another encouraging performance for Galaxy as they continue preparations for the upcoming Betway Premiership campaign.
Galaxy’s success extended beyond the team trophy, with the club collecting five individual honours at the tournament.
Nhlakanipho Ngwenya finished as joint Golden Boot winner after scoring two goals, sharing the award with Kruger United’s Khethukuthula Ndlovu.
