Mpumalanga Premier’s Cup Fixtures Confirmed as TS Galaxy, Kruger United, Casric Stars and The Bees Set for KaNyamazane Showdown
The Mpumalanga Provincial Government has officially launched the 2026 Mpumalanga Premier’s Cup, with TS Galaxy FC, Kruger United FC, Casric Stars FC and The Bees FC set to compete in the one-day tournament at KaNyamazane Stadium on Sunday, 19 July.
Premier Mandla Ndlovu unveiled the competition during its official launch on Friday, describing it as a flagship initiative that combines football and netball while promoting youth development, community participation and economic growth across the province.
According to a statement issued by the Mpumalanga Provincial Government, the tournament will bring together school sport, community clubs and professional teams, creating a pathway from circuit-level school competitions through to the provincial finals.
“Today is more than the launch of a football and netball tournament. It is the beginning of a movement to unearth talent, unite communities, stimulate the local economy and inspire a new generation of sporting excellence,” Ndlovu said.
The tournament is a joint initiative between the Mpumalanga Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation and the Department of Education, with the aim of identifying and nurturing future sporting talent.
Ndlovu said the competition has the potential to inspire the next generation of South African football stars.
“A talented learner watching today’s professional footballers could very well become tomorrow’s PSL or Bafana Bafana star,” he said.
Beyond talent development, the provincial government believes the tournament will also generate economic opportunities for communities across Mpumalanga by attracting supporters and visitors to host venues.
“We want every district of Mpumalanga to experience the economic benefits that accompany major sporting events,” Ndlovu said.
The tournament is supported by SAFA Mpumalanga, the Mpumalanga Netball Association, the Mpumalanga Sport Confederation, municipalities across the province and participating professional clubs.
Football supporters can look forward to an action-packed day at KaNyamazane Stadium on Sunday, 19 July, with the following fixtures confirmed:

Ndlovu said the tournament represents a long-term investment in sport and young people across the province.
“We are building dreams. We are creating opportunities. We are strengthening communities. We are investing in the future of our children,” he said.
The 2026 Mpumalanga Premier’s Cup is expected to showcase some of the province’s top football talent while strengthening the pathway from grassroots and school competitions to the professional game.
