Leon sends Sundowns through to the CAF Champions League final

Mamelodi Sundowns are through to their second consecutive CAF Champions League final after brushing aside ES Tunis, also known as Esperance.

Brayan Leon Muniz scored the only goal of the game at a sold-out Loftus Versfeld Stadium, converting from the penalty spot.

The goal came 10 minutes before the half-time interval after Bechie Said was a split-second late in his attempt to clear a back pass, instead catching Leon on the upper body.

Despite the initial save from Said, Leon reacted quickest to tap the rebound into the back of the net from close range.

Sundowns progressed to the CAF Champions League final with a 2-0 aggregate score, with both goals coming from Leon.
