Solomon Mahlangu Half Marathon Returns to Inspire Fitness and Community Spirit
Runners, walkers and fitness enthusiasts are being invited to lace up their running shoes as the Solomon Mahlangu Half Marathon makes its return on Saturday, 3 October 2026, promising a day of competition, healthy living and community celebration.
Organised by Mkobola Athletics Club in partnership with Thembisile Hani Local Municipality, the event aims to encourage people of all ages and fitness levels to embrace an active lifestyle while honouring the legacy of Solomon Mahlangu.
The race will take place at Kwaggafontein Stadium, with the first event scheduled to start at 06:30.
Participants will be able to choose from three race distances:
21km Half Marathon – R200
10km – R120
5km Fun Run – R60
Athletes who are not licensed runners will also be able to purchase a temporary licence for R50.
