Mamelodi Double-Murder Suspect’s Case Postponed to March

The case against the man accused of killing two cousins from Mamelodi, east of Pretoria, has been postponed to March 19.

Tebogo Mnisi (38) appeared briefly in the Mamelodi Magistrate’s Court on January 19.

Mnisi is alleged to have shot and killed the two young cousins, Tshiamo Sweetness Moramaga (22), believed to be his girlfriend, and Baleseng Mirandah Moramaga (21), originally from Luckau, a village outside Groblersdal in Limpopo.

He is accused of the shooting of Desmond Senong (27) in October of last year.

Mnisi faces five charges, including two counts of premeditated murder, one count of attempted murder, and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Lumka Mahanjana, the National Prosecuting Authority’s (NPA) regional spokesperson in Pretoria, said the case was postponed for further investigation.

Following police investigations, the accused was arrested at a garage on Solomon Mahlangu Drive on October 27, 2025.

Mnisi abandoned his bail application on October 28, 2025.

He remains in custody pending the finalisation of the case.
