Sundowns One Step Away From History as Rabat Final Awaits in CAF Champions League Decider

Mamelodi Sundowns stand just 90 minutes away from continental as the South African giants prepare for a high-stakes showdown against AS FAR Rabat in the second leg of the CAF Champions League final tonight in Morocco.

The Brazilians head into the decisive encounter carrying a narrow 1–0 advantage from the first leg played in Pretoria on 17 May.

While Sundowns emerged victorious in the opening leg, the result could easily have been more comfortable. The Tshwane giants created several clear-cut opportunities but failed to capitalize fully on their dominance.

Tonight’s final will take place at the sold-out Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah, where a hostile atmosphere is expected as AS FAR attempt to overturn the deficit in front of their passionate supporters.

For Sundowns, the stakes extend far beyond lifting the trophy.

Victory in Rabat would secure the club’s second CAF Champions League title after their historic triumph in 2016 and further cement their status among Africa’s elite clubs.

With kickoff scheduled for 21:00 SAST, Sundowns now face the defining test of their season.
