Solomon Mahlangu Half Marathon: Organisers Confirm Race-Day Readiness
Preparations are complete for the seventh Solomon Mahlangu Half Marathon, with the Mkobola Athletic Club confirming that runners are ready to take over Kwaggafontein on Saturday, 3 October.
Mkobola Athletic Club secretary Precious Mkhwanazi says preparations have gone well, with the organisers now focused on helping runners who still need to register or collect their race packs.
Manual registrations and race pack collections will be available on Friday at Mthombomuhle from 9:00am to 6:00pm. This also gives runners who experienced difficulties with online registration another opportunity to enter the race.
Already registered runners will also be able to collect their race packs from 4:00am on Saturday morning before the races get underway.
“We are ready for the race,” Mkhwanazi told SizaNazo365. “We just want to notify runners and those who want to join the race that manual registrations and race day packet pickups will take place on Friday at Mthombomuhle from 9:00am to 6:00pm.”
The seventh edition features the flagship 21km race, alongside 10km and 5km events, while the free 4.9km fun run/walk is aimed at encouraging wider community participation.
With preparations now complete, attention turns to race day as athletes from KwaNdebele and beyond prepare to line up at Kwaggafontein Stadium.
